Helldivers 2 is known for hammering GPUs because the game refuses to cap FPS in menus, so you can easily end up at 200+ frames per second just sitting on the main screen, which heats your GPU up for no reason. I noticed that on my end: I had to force a cap either in my graphics card settings or directly in the game to get temps back down to normal.

Start by checking that your fans are actually spinning and that dust isn't clogging the vents - that's usually the main culprit. If it's not that, lower your graphics settings (resolution, ray-tracing, shadow distance) or enable a frame cap to limit the load.
