Are online horoscopes and apps like Co-Star actually accurate?

Most horoscopes and apps work based on the Barnum effect - the statements are phrased so generally that pretty much everyone recognizes themselves in them 😅 Co-Star and similar apps are more entertaining than accurate, because they're based on your birth date, but realistically hundreds of people are born on the same day and have completely different lives. If an app like that helps you pause for a moment and think about yourself, that's cool - but I wouldn't rely on it as actual guidance.
