Go to Settings → Apps → select the app you need → Notifications and turn off whatever you don't want there :) Or you can just long-press on a notification and select "Turn off notifications from this app" - that's the easiest way.
It's really annoying when your phone goes crazy with notifications 😄 In Android 15 it's pretty straightforward. You go to Settings, find Apps (or App Management, depending on the manufacturer), pick the app that's bugging you with notifications, and tap on Notifications. Then you see a toggle - just turn it off or adjust which specific alerts you don't want to see.
If you don't want to completely disable notifications but just make them quieter, in the same menu you can pick a notification category (usually there's stuff like "All", "Important", "Silent") and switch to a less intrusive option. Another cool way is through Focus. In that same Notifications section you look for a Focus option or Focus Modes, where you can basically mute sound and vibration for certain apps at certain times of day.
And honestly, there's this neat trick in Android 15 - right from the home screen you can long-tap an app icon to bring up a context menu and turn off notifications right there, without even going into settings :) I do it that way personally when some app starts spamming me.
Though honestly, a lot of people forget about notification categories - even if you turn off the main notification, the app can keep vibrating or lighting up your screen through a different category. In that same app's settings, check all the available notification channels and disable them separately, otherwise you'll be scratching your head later wondering why your phone's still buzzing. The guys, by the way, described the basic method correctly, but it's actually this detail about channels that saves you from half the problems.
