Don't waste money on cheap fiber cement that delaminates after a few years. Hardiebacker or similar fiber cement boards are still the standard for wet areas, though some folks are having good luck with foam-core boards like Wedi or Kerdi if you want something lighter and easier to cut - just make sure whatever you pick gets proper waterproofing membrane on top, that's the real insurance against problems.
