My 2022 Hyundai HB20 is doing some weird pulsing when I brake, especially at higher speeds. I feel like a tremor in the pedal. I already took it to a quick mechanic and he said it could be a warped disc or an ABS problem, but I'm not sure. Does anyone here have experience with this? Is it worth taking it to a dealership or can a trusted mechanic handle it?
This tremor is pretty common, actually. It could be a warped disc, unevenly worn pads, or the ABS kicking in (which is normal in some situations). Jack up the car and check if the disc is bent, but honestly if you're unsure it's better to go to a Hyundai dealership to be sure, especially since the HB20 is still under warranty if it's recent.
The tremor in the pedal can be several things, really, but I think it's worth differentiating well before you spend money.
