You can't just plug it directly into a 220V outlet like that - it's dangerous for both the car and your wiring. The built-in charger in the ID.4 is designed for specific parameters, and a regular household outlet doesn't meet the power and protection requirements. If you connect it haphazardly, you risk overheating, damaging the electronics, or even starting a house fire.
But there's a solution. To charge from 220V, you need a special adapter - basically a portable charging station or mobile charger. It acts as a middleman between the outlet and the car, controlling current and voltage. Charging will be very slow - roughly 2-3 kW instead of 7-11 kW from a wall station. It'll take a day or two to fully charge the ID.4 that way, but it'll do for topping up between city trips. The key thing is to use an adapter actually made for this, not some DIY contraption.
In practice, a lot of EV owners do exactly this at first - they charge slowly from an outlet while they save up for a proper station. It won't hurt the car if everything's connected right. Just make sure the outlet's in good condition and there are no other heavy-duty appliances on that line.
