I don't think you're alone - laces are still the norm, it's just that velcro is more convenient for people in a hurry 😄 If you've been playing in them for five years and everything's fine, they hold up great, and it's got nothing to do with being old-fashioned - it's more about habit and personal preference.

Maybe it all comes down to how tight you pull the laces? I've seen a lot of people switch to velcro just because it's faster to put on and take off, not because laces hold worse. If you've been playing without any issues for five years, it means you've just gotten the technique of tightening them down, and that's your advantage, not a drawback. Plus with laces you can fine-tune the tension on different parts of your foot more precisely, if you know what you're doing.

Андрей asker Yeah, that's exactly the point. With laces I can adjust the tension to fit my foot, and it's way more comfortable. People just rush.
