I've been trying to do a factory reset through Settings but it keeps failing or freezing partway through. My phone's been glitchy for months and I really need a clean slate. What else can I try if the standard method won't work?
Try booting into recovery mode (usually power + volume down held together) and doing a factory reset from there instead - it's more reliable when the normal method gets stuck. If that doesn't work either, you might need to connect to a computer and use Android's platform tools or your phone manufacturer's official software to flash the device, though that's more involved.
