Is it normal to feel left behind when my friends get married?

I'm 32 and single. My three best friends all got married between 2023 and 2025, and since then it's become super complicated to see them. They're always busy with their guys, kids, house stuff... We used to get together every month to watch shows and chat, and now it's been almost a year and it's just not the same. I feel really alone and I'm wondering if this is just a phase or if I've lost my friends.

Have you tried suggesting stuff just the two of you, without waiting for them to magically free up their schedule? It's completely normal to feel left behind - it's a real transition. Your friends haven't lost sight of you, they're just in a different phase of their life, but that doesn't change what you had together. The thing is, now you have to adapt: quick calls between noon and two, occasional brunches instead of regular monthly nights out, or even include them in your life instead of waiting for them to escape theirs. It feels like a loss because that rhythm you had for months broke, but you haven't actually lost your friends if you both make the effort to stay connected, even if it looks different.
