I was looking for a good tablet that wouldn't cost too much, mainly to read and watch movies. I saw the Galaxy Tab S9 FE at a pretty decent price at Unieuro, but I'm not sure if Samsung has already released something newer in the meantime. Should I buy it now or am I missing out on something better?
Forget about chasing the latest model - the one you found at Unieuro does exactly what you need! The real issue is that Samsung already released the Tab S10 FE this year with pretty marginal improvements - it's basically just the usual annual refresh, nothing that would justify waiting any longer or spending more if the S9 FE is already a good price right now.
If you're looking for a tablet for reading and watching movies, the S9 FE does the job really well and at that price point it's not bad, but Samsung has already come out with newer models that, if I'm not mistaken, have improvements especially in the display and battery. You should at least take a look at what's new in the same price range before deciding, because you might spend a bit more and get something more up-to-date.
For reading and watching movies the S9 FE does the job just fine, you're not missing out on anything if you wait a bit longer. I've got an older tablet and it still holds up great for these things, the screen is what matters most and the S9 FE isn't lacking in that department.
But if Samsung's already released newer models at similar prices or not much higher, maybe it's worth checking those out instead of getting a model that's already starting to fall behind. It depends on how much the difference costs and what specs the new one has, but like the screen refresh rate or the battery make a real difference when you're using it every day for movies.
