Did you finish it wanting more or feeling like they'd wrapped things up nicely?
Season 2's worth it if you're hungry for more of that cat-and-mouse political stuff. The core appeal is still there - Kate's still maneuvering through diplomatic minefields, there's plenty of tension, and the writing keeps you guessing. But here's the thing that nobody seems to be mentioning: the pacing gets choppier. They introduce more subplots and secondary characters, so sometimes the main storyline feels like it takes a backseat for an episode or two. It's not terrible, but it's noticeably different from season 1's tighter focus.
That said, if you're the type who just wants to keep following Kate's story and don't mind a messier season structure, you'll probably still get your money's worth. The performances are solid and there are some genuinely good moments. Just go in knowing it's not quite the same streamlined experience as the first run - it feels more like they're setting up for future stuff rather than telling one tight story. Whether that bothers you depends on how much you just want to hang out with these characters versus needing them to be doing something narratively crisp.
