My monitor is giving me headaches after working - is it the brightness or something else?

I've been working from my apartment on my laptop all day, and after 6 straight hours my head starts hurting, especially my eyes. I changed the brightness but it keeps happening. I don't know if it's eye strain, my posture, or something with the monitor. What can I do?

It's probably a combination of eye strain and posture rather than the brightness itself - after 6 hours straight without a break your eyes get really tired, especially if the screen is at an awkward distance or too low. Try taking breaks every hour (stare at something far away for about 20 seconds), adjust your monitor height to eye level, and consider a blue light filter or glasses with that filter, which helps a lot with eye fatigue.
