Everyone gives different advice: some say to install radiant floor heating right away, either water-based or electric, while others say it's expensive and you'll have problems with repairs later. What do I actually need to consider when making a choice?

What you should really consider: a water-based heated floor is cheaper to maintain, but it requires connection to a boiler and is more complex to install; electric is simpler to set up and control, but it eats up electricity. In the bathroom and kitchen, tile holds heat especially well, so it doesn't go to waste.
If your budget allows - install it now, you won't regret it. If money is really tight, you can get by without it, but redoing it later will hurt your wallet way more. The main thing is - don't put off the decision until after the screed is poured 🚴♀️
