Strange fuel consumption on my 390 Duke since summer

Hey, I noticed my KTM 390 Duke has been guzzling way more fuel since June. Before I was getting like 25-26 km/litre on mixed riding, now I'm down to 20 km/litre. I haven't changed how I ride, and I had my service done in April at the dealer. You guys got any idea what it could be? Clogged air filter or something with the engine?

Start by checking your tire pressure, that's often where you'll find the answer and it takes two minutes. Too low pressure burns a ton of gas, especially on 390s since they're light and sensitive to that.

After that, also check if your air filter is really clogged up (you can pull it out and hold it up to the light), and make sure you don't have an oil leak hanging around or something rubbing. The service in April is good, but sometimes there's a detail that changes between maintenance intervals.

Tires are already a pretty good starting point, but I'd add something: since summer, maybe you switched to a different type of gas or you're running a different quality? I know it sounds silly but honestly some lower-grade fuel, especially in summer when sketchy little stations run weird promos, that can really mess with your consumption. If you always filled up at the same pump before, it's worth testing a different one just to see.

Other than that, a clogged air filter would mainly cause a power loss before increased consumption, so less likely. What I'd really look into: spark plugs. What's your mileage? The 390 Duke generally needs spark plug changes every 10,000-15,000 km depending on how you ride it, and worn plugs eat fuel like crazy. Do you remember when they were last changed, or do you trust the dealer to handle that?
