It really depends on the model you have, but most portable fish finders use AA or AAA batteries, or sometimes a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Check the manual or under the cover to see what capacity you need. If you want something that lasts, rechargeable NiMH batteries like Eneloop are nice, otherwise regular alkaline batteries do the job 😊
