It really depends on what kind of figures you're making and how picky you are about the finish, but brands like ArtResin's Epoxy Resin or Envirotex are pretty reliable and give you a clean result without too many bubbles 💪. If you're looking for something more budget-friendly and don't mind working a bit more with the curing process, generic resins from craft stores work fine too. The important thing is to follow the resin-hardener ratio properly and let it cure long enough, because that makes more of a difference than the brand itself.
I've worked with resin on bases and I'd tell you that before going for a specific brand, look for one with low bubble levels, because that's what screws everything up in the end - ArtResin and Envirotex are fine, but if you don't degass properly or don't have good ventilation, you end up with a cloudy result anyway. What nobody mentions is that ambient temperature matters a ton; if you do it when it's really cold it gets sticky and takes forever to cure, so make sure you check the instructions carefully on that.
