Blockchain is like the technology, the system that records transactions in a secure and decentralized way, while cryptocurrency is just the digital money that uses blockchain to work - you can have blockchain without cryptocurrency, but cryptocurrency needs blockchain (or something similar) to exist.

Don't mix up the two because blockchain is the technology (like a digital and secure record book) and cryptocurrency is just one of the applications of that technology, like Bitcoin or Ethereum that use blockchain to work. It's like saying internet and email are the same thing - email uses the internet, but there are tons of other things on the internet besides email.
