I live in a small apartment and I'm looking at washing machines, but I get confused by these capacities. It's just me and my husband, and we do laundry every 3 days. Do I really need 12kg or is 10kg enough?
With just two of you, 10kg is more than enough to do laundry every 3 days, no problem! The practical difference is actually pretty small - the 12kg machine is slightly bigger, uses a bit more energy and water if you run it full, and takes up more space at home. Unless you've got a lot of thick bedding or bulky coats to wash regularly, the extra cost and larger size of a 12kg machine just isn't worth it!
