I've had this problem for about two weeks now across several games. The screen freezes for a few seconds when I load new areas, then goes back to normal. I have an RTX 3060 and 16 GB of RAM, so it shouldn't be a hardware issue. Does anyone know if it's a driver problem or something with the SSD?
The first thing I'd do is update your GPU drivers, because those freezes when loading new zones almost always come from there. If you've already got them up to date, check that your SSD has free space (at least 10-15% of the total) because when it's really full it starts getting slow accessing the game files. It's also worth verifying in task manager if something else is eating up read bandwidth while you're playing, and if none of that works, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game on the SSD to make sure the files aren't fragmented.
