What software should I use to stream games from my PC to Twitch?

I want to start streaming, but I'm not sure what's the best way to capture the game and send it to Twitch. I've heard about OBS, but maybe there's something simpler and more convenient? My PC specs are decent, so hardware isn't an issue.

OBS is really the gold standard, and it does the job perfectly - plus it's completely free. If you want something more intuitive with ready-made templates and effects, check out Streamlabs Desktop or XSplit, but you usually have to pay for that convenience, and for a beginner streamer OBS is the smarter choice - there's a learning curve, but there are tons of tutorials online specifically for it.
