Which multifunction printer should I choose for home if I scan documents frequently?

I work with a lot of paperwork right now - contracts, receipts, photos of documents. I need a device that scans well in color and does it fast. I'm looking at laser multifunction printers, but maybe there's a more budget-friendly option with inkjet printing?
