Why does Netflix log me out of my profile every time I switch devices?

This has been happening to me for a few months now - whenever I log into Netflix on my phone after watching something on the TV, it automatically logs me out. I'm not sure if it's because I'm sharing the account with my mom or if it's an app issue. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Most likely Netflix is limiting how many devices can be active at the same time on your account, especially if you're sharing it with your mom. Depending on the plan you have, some only allow one or two streams at a time, so when you log in from your phone it automatically disconnects the TV session (or vice versa). You can check Settings > Security to see active devices and close sessions you're not using, or if you need to use multiple devices at the same time, you'd have to consider a more expensive plan that allows it.

Netflix has a limit on how many devices can be active at the same time depending on your plan, but heads up because sometimes the app goes haywire with ghost sessions, especially if you're logging in and out quickly across multiple devices in a short span of time. Try manually signing out everywhere (there's an option in settings to "sign out of all devices") and then log back in - that almost always fixes it!
