How to turn off Story notifications on Instagram?

I can't take it anymore getting notified every time someone posts a story. It drives me crazy constantly, especially in the evening. Is there a way to turn them off without blocking the person or turning off notifications for all of Instagram?

Go to notification settings, select Instagram, and turn off "Stories" specifically - that'll just cut off story notifications without affecting anything else. If you don't want to get notifications from a specific person, you can also go to their profile, tap the three dots, and choose "Disable notifications" for just them.
