Expired warranty on smartwatch: can I get the screen repaired?

SO Sole CH 📗 Student 👁 48 ⚑ Report Warranty & Returns

I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 that cost me an arm and a leg two years ago, and now the screen has started getting weird scratches and won't respond in some spots. The warranty expired a few months ago. Is it still worth taking it to service or is it a lost cause? How much could an out-of-warranty repair cost?

It's still worth taking it to a service center because they might give you a free estimate, and at least you'll know how much the repair costs. For a smartwatch like yours, an out-of-warranty screen replacement usually runs around 100-150 euros, but it depends on the service center and parts availability. If the price is too high compared to what you'd spend on a new one, then maybe it's not worth it, but at least you'll have the numbers to make a decision.
